The entreprise

Groupe Services Universel SARL (GSU), operating under the brand BioRiche, produces and markets natural biofertilizers and biostimulants for horticulture and agriculture in Benin. The company combines local production with sales through its own boutique, partner outlets, and field agents. Its mission is to restore soil fertility, improve yields, and support profitable, sustainable farming. The product range includes three solid vermicompost fertilizers (BOOSTEUR, STAR, TCHIGAN) and a liquid foliar biostimulant (DEFENDER).

The business project

GSU plans to acquire land and construct its own ECOCERT-compliant production facility, combining manufacturing, storage, office space, and a boutique, to access institutional and regional export markets. The project addresses limitations of the current municipal site, ensures asset ownership, and enables certified production from 2028. It tackles soil degradation in Benin caused by chemical fertilizers, offering sustainable solutions that restore soil health, secure farmers’ incomes, and promote agroecological practices

Why OVO believes in this project

OVO sees strong potential in the project’s market, social impact, and environmental contribution. GSU creates jobs for youth, works closely with local farmer cooperatives, and reduces chemical fertilizer use through biological inputs. The project demonstrates credible financial, social, and ecological benefits, supported by operational improvements and structured planning.

Requested investment

GSU requests a € 50,000 loan to fund land acquisition, construction, certification, and operational development, with a five-year repayment period. The investment will enable certified production, expansion into regional markets, and sustainable growth in a rapidly growing sector
